Dr. Yunus Uğur, the lecturer in ŞEHİR, was selected as Board Member of Global Urban History Project (GUHP)

Dr. Yunus Uğur, the lecturer in İstanbul Şehir University College of Humanities and Social Sciences History Department and Manager of Center for Urban Studies, was selected as Board Member of Global Urban History Project (GUHP).
Dr. Yunus Uğur will contribute to the researches and plan the events, projects and publications in the field of urban history for his GUHP Board Membership. Uğur, who is conducting national and international studies on urban history, has been International Advisory Board Member in GUHP since 2018.

The Global Urban History Project (GUHP) is known as an important research network that seeks to address cities with a large-scale and transnational approach and synthesize urban history from a global perspective. The studies carried out within the scope of the Global Urban History Project are combined with comparative or urban studies using methods that focus on global connections from a single center.

GUHP, which brings hundreds of academics and urban historians from different universities together under one roof and whose headquarter is in the USA, collaborates professional organizations and universities including Urban History Association (USA), European Association for Urban History (Europe) and World History Association (USA) and provides support to students and researchers.
