TÜBİTAK SAYEM Support to Unmanned Marine Vessel Project, promoted by ŞEHİR TTO

Among the projects getting TÜBİTAK SAYEM, there is "Road Map for the Purpose of Development of Measurement, Test and Navigation Control Unit (İDA OTO-SEVK) Project for Autonomous Operation of Unmanned Vessels" and there is ŞEHİR TTO in its consortium.

Among the projects getting TÜBİTAK SAYEM, there is "Road Map for the purpose of Development of Measurement, Test and Navigation Control Unit (İDA OTO-SEVK) Project for Autonomous Operation of Unmanned Vessels" and there is ŞEHİR TTO in its consortium. Within the scope of the İDA OTO-SEVK Project, a new generation of national surface and underwater unmanned marine vehicles will be developed in cooperation with industry-university-public.

SAYEM under the TEYDEB SUPPORT SYSTEM 2.0, which the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) has designed with public-university-industry cooperation in creating of facilitating mechanisms, completed the calls for its first phase. İDA OTO-SEVK Project, one partner of which is İstanbul Şehir University, will be supported by TÜBİTAK. The SAYEM consortium includes ŞEHİR Technology Transfer Office (ŞEHİR TTO), which has more than 8 years of experience in the field of technology transfer mechanisms. Within the scope of the project, Asst. Prof. Ertuğrul Çetinsoy, the lecturer in İstanbul Şehir University College of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Department of Mechanical Engineering, and his team will be actively involved in the preparation of the roadmap for autonomous systems.

Halime Usta Yoğun: We are very happy to be in the consortium 

ŞEHİR TTO Manager Halime Usta Yoğun pointed out that TÜBİTAK TEYDEB 2.0 is very important for public-university-industry cooperation, and that the development of high value-added products or product groups is aimed. Halima Usta Yoğun stated that they were very happy to take part in the consortium of İDA OTO-SEVK in the first phase calls of TÜBİTAK​ SAYEM and excited for being a technology transfer office which is an active office in drawing a way for the high technology products of Turkey. Under the scope of TEYDEB 2.0, Halime Usta Yoğun said that Technology Transfer Office has a significant responsibility for activities such as patenting and commercialization of target products, and mapping road for the development of high technology products and the cooperation of university-industry-public. She also added, İstanbul Şehir University and ŞEHİR Technology Transfer Office continues to create added value for the national economy through numerous quality projects in cooperation projects.

There are Elkon, Promatech, TÜBİTAK MAM Energy Institute, İstanbul Şehir University and Türk Loydu in the first stages of the İDA OTO-SEVK project. With İDA OTO-SEVK, organizations will be classified depending on their capabilities and task sharing will be carried out systematically. In this way, all companies capable of producing surface and underwater unmanned marine vehicles and providing technology to these vehicles will have the opportunity to work together.
