Autonomous Management of Search Engine Advertisement Campaigns

Assoc. Prof. Ahmet Bulut, the lecturer in ŞEHİR, will be supported by TÜBİTAK for his project called "Autonomous Management of Search Engine Advertisement Campaigns".
​​The project, called "Autonomous Management of Search Engine Advertisement Campaigns", of Assoc. Prof. Ahmet Bulut, the lecturer in İstanbul Şehir University College of Engineering and Natural Sciences Computer Science and Engineering Department, will be supported by TÜBİTAK. Thanks to the system that will be developed within the scope of the research, it is aimed that the management of advertisement campaigns will be conducted autonomously, not manually.

The project, called "Autonomous Management of Search Engine Advertisement Campaigns", of Assoc. Prof. Ahmet Bulut, the lecturer in Computer Science and Engineering Department, will be supported by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK). The project aims at the conduct of management of advertisement campaigns autonomously, not manually.

Evaluating the project, Assoc. Prof. Ahmet Bulut pointed out that advertising is one of the main financial resources of search engines and added, "The cost of the ad screening is determined by the type of ad and where it is shown. In our project, we're focusing on text-based ads that appear on results pages where the search engine returns in response to user queries, and on ad campaigns that contain relevant keywords."

The ad campaigns will be autonomous
Emphasizing that users, advertisers, and ad providers benefit from the presentation of correct ads to the correct user in the network of search engine ad, Bulut stated, "Thus, advertisers want to use their limited budgets more accurately and users want to be satisfied with their experience without losing time with irrelevant advertisements. For this reason, advertisers need to determine correct keywords and create text-based ad (ad creatives)."

Assoc. Prof. Bulut told the aim of their project is to develop a system that will be used to manage the digital ad campaign effectively, reach the campaign targets by minimum budget and make this sustainable. He also added, "We aim at making the ad campaign management, which is dominantly manual, autonomous with this new system."
