Özgür Aksoy 

Özgür Aksoy was born in İzmir. She graduated from Ankara Fen Lisesi in 1995. She received her BS at Middle East Technical University Industrial Engineering (2000), MA at Boğaziçi University Economics and Finance (2007), MS at Özyeğin University Financial Engineering and Risk Management (2015) and currently working on her PhD degree at İstanbul University, Management and Strategy Program.

Aksoy started her career as a Brand Management Intern at Procter &Gamble in 1999. Then she began in Citibank Global Corporate & Investment Banking as a Management Associate in 2000 and continued as Business Development Executive in Commercial Banking (2001-2003) and Assistant Manager in Main Branch (2003-2004). In 2004, she became Private Banking Manager in Finansbank (Suisse) SA (of Fiba Group). In 2005 she moved to Millenium Bcp Turkey as Yeniköy Branch Manager. After two years of Branch Management experience she formed Business Process Management Department in Head Office of Millennium Bcp Turkey in 2007. Later on, she was appointed as head of IT Application Development and coordinated IT development activities between Millennium Bcp Turkey and the Regional IT Competence Center in Poland. In 2009, she continued her career in T. Vakıflar Bankası T.A.O as Lean Banking Manager. As Fiba Group decided to purchase Turkey banking operation of Millennium Bcp in 2010, she rejoined Fiba Holding as a Project Manager of “Business Plan Preparation of Fibabanka". After the hand-over process of the bank, she started as Business Process Management Director. For 7 years in this role, she managed and participated in many projects, such as Process Management, Banking Application Change, Rebranding, Relocation of Head Office, Branch Network Expansion, Document Management, IT Change and Deploy Management, Branch Operations Management. In 2019, she decided to make change in her career path and constituted a “portfolio" approach which consists of providing Business Process Analysis consultancy with leading software tools in Consulta Management Consultancy, teaching Business Process Management at Industrial Engineering department, Özyeğin University and FinTechs' researcher (PhD thesis interest).

Barbora Galvankova
Barbora is gender equality and women's empowerment specialist at UNDP bureau for Europe and Central Asia. In her work Barbora  support UNDP  Offices, their partners in developing and strengthening gender equality components in thematic development projects as well as national polices and strategies. In her previous position she was responsible for research and coordination of knowledge networks on gender equality issues connecting UNDP and its partners.  Before joining UNDP, Barbora worked at the Research and Information Centre for Development in France, focusing on gender studies and education for development. She  also worked with European NGO networks promoting  gender-responsive development policies and initiatives.  Barbora holds Master's Degrees in Development Policies and in Sociology of International Relations from the Sorbonne University in Paris.
