The Award for the Short Film by Taner Eser, the student of ŞEHİR Cinema and TV

In the inter-collegiate short film competition, held by Hayata Bağış Derneği in order to pay attention to the importance of organ donation and form a social conscious, Taner Eser, the student of ŞEHİR Cinema and TV Department, got the second prize.
​​​​​Taner Eser, a senior student at İstanbul Şehir University College of Communications Department of Cinema and TV, won the second prize in the intercollegiate short film competition organized by Hayata Bağış Derneği (Association for the Donation of Life) and to raise awareness of the importance of organ donation. Ramazan Kılıç, a student of the same department, wrote the screenplay of the film titled "Spare Battery", and the film discusses the donation of organ to young people by an old man who has passed away.

The film, which got the award in the short film competition under the theme of “Organ Donation” held by Hayata Bağış Derneği to raise awareness of the organ donation, was directed byTaner Eser, the student of İstanbul Şehir University Cinema and TV Department and was written by Ramazan Kılıç from the same department. The story of the film that discusses the organ donation to young people by an old man is told through metaphors. The metaphor of watch has been used to represent person; pocket watch for the old man and wristwatch for young people.​

There were 34 contestants from 23 university, 5 of which are private and 18 are public, in various cities
Judges of the competition where 24 short films were contested were Sarp Apak, Cengiz Bozkurt, Onur Buldu, Haki Biçici, Hakan Algül and Prof. Adnan Sayar, the Thoracic Surgery Head of Department of Memorial Hospitals.
